Students read a variety of books throughout their time at high school, from novels assigned for classes to reading conducted for fun. This week, students answered the question, “What is your favorite book you have read at BHS?”

Freshman Representative: Kieralyn Kirkpatrick
Answer: “I’m really enjoying ‘Romeo and Juliet’ right now; I’ve actually already read [it] once. It’s very interesting, and I like the concepts of it. I enjoyed the balcony scene the most.”

Sophomore Representative: Nico Valenti
Answer: “My favorite book has probably been ‘I Survived the Attack on 9/11.’ I have always been interested in how the terrorists attacked those buildings. I like all the ‘I Survived’ books and how they are written. The first person view of how it would be like if you were there is cool.”

Junior Representative: Sullivan England-Golbiw
Answer: “’To Kill a Mockingbird’ was a good book. I liked the characters—they were good—and how the message of it still applies today. Its commentary on inequality is what makes it stand out for me.”

Senior Representative: Landon Sinclair
Answer: “The book I like is ‘Lord of the Flies.’ It was my favorite because it was actually entertaining and kept you involved in the book. It had a good ending as well. The ending was eventful and stood out to me.”
