People hear about superheroes in movies and books, but there are also real-life superheroes—those whose words or actions make someone else’s life better. In this week’s issue, students answer the question, “Who is someone that you look up to in life and why?”

Freshman Representative: Carter Thompson
Answer: “My dad because he taught me everything I know. He is always there to support me in whatever I want to do. He always helps me with whatever I need to know, he will teach me if he knows it.”

Sophomore Representative: Teresa Nuss
Answer: “My friend Hannah. I think she is the bravest person I know and also the humblest person, especially with all her strengths. Hannah really helped me grow. I was really jaded for a while, and she brought back a lot of emotion to my life, and that helped me a lot.”

Junior Representative: Matthew Fee
Answer: “I look up to my grandpa a lot in my life. He is a very hard worker, and he always sets a good example of how you should treat someone in life. He also doesn’t give up easy when times are hard.”

Senior Representative: Owen Buckley
Answer: “I look up to my mother because she is always there for me no matter the high or low I am going through in my life. Whether it’s in a soccer game or in life, she is always motivating me and making me my best self. She would do anything for me, and I appreciate her a lot; she is my biggest hero in life.”
