Reporter Bradley Schwab is back with a new edition of Brighton’s Voice. Brighton’s Voice is a weekly segment that focuses on the student body’s ideas, beliefs, opinions and goals. Brighton’s Voice aims to engage as many members of the student body as possible. If interested in participating, students are encouraged to reach out to [email protected].
This week, Schwab decided to switch things up. Rather that interviewing students, this week’s edition of Brighton’s Voice is centered around some of the teachers who make BHS as excellent as it is. Teachers answered the question, “What makes BHS special to you?”

Teacher: Mr. Hazen
Answer: “I like all the staff that I work with. Students here are very nice overall. A very positive community.”

Teacher: Mr. Moore
Answer: “It’s very close to where I went to high school, Pinckney High School, so I feel like I know the area well. I like my colleagues and the student body a lot. Great students here at Brighton High School.”

Teacher: Mrs. Braasch
Answer: “I’ve worked here for 25 years, and I love working with high school students because I think their personalities are amazing at this age. I have also made some of my best friends working here.”

Teacher: Mrs. Grills
Answer: “I like the sense of community here. I find everyone truly supportive of one another. If I ever need something, there are at least five people I know I can turn to.”
