Reporter Bradley Schwab is back with a special edition of Brighton’s Voice to celebrate the Thanksgiving holidays. Brighton’s Voice is a weekly segment featuring students from different grades who answer questions about life at and outside of BHS. If interested in participating, reach out to [email protected].
Thanksgiving is often associated with family and food, but people choose to celebrate the holiday in different ways. This week, students reflected on the question, “What are your plans for Thanksgiving break?”
Freshman Representative: James Kenney
Answer: “To go to Georgia because my family lives in Georgia. My mom’s not coming, but I’m going because my mom has to work. I’m going to be down there for five days.”
Sophomore Representative: Noah Harper
Answer: “Tomorrow, I am going to a Friendsgiving. On Thanksgiving day, my family is coming to my house, and we are having Thanksgiving dinner. The rest of the break, I will be working on stuff for robotics.”
Junior Representative: Malakai Kilduff
Answer: “It’s going to start off on Saturday in my grandparents’ house, and we are going to have a Thanksgiving bash. On Sunday, I will head to my other grandparents’ house for a larger family gathering. Hopefully on Monday, I will do some archery because I’m heading back to school.”
Senior Representative: Charlie Norton
Answer: “This Thanksgiving, probably work on a web comic—get that going, I guess. Going to my grandparents for Thanksgiving dinner because my uncle is a chef and makes really good food. Probably just play videos and have a good time.”
